What's Inside My Make-Up Bag?

Alrighty, so by now I've shopped my way to a good sized collection of make-up. However, I keep a make-up bag filled with my daily go-to products that I use over and over again. The only time I really venture beyond this make-up bag and delve into my collection is on weekends or special occasions. Just in case anyone is interested in the contents of my go-to make-up bag, here goes:

#1 L'Oreal Infallible Make-up (in Classic Ivory)
#2 Hoola Bronzer by Benefit
#3 Lipstick by Gosh (in Darling)
#4 Blush by NYX (in Peach)
#5 MAC Bronzing Powder
#6 NYX Eyeshadow Base (in Skin Tone)
#7 MAC Penultimate Eye Liner (in Rapidblack)
#8 MAC & NYX Brushes
#9 NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil (in Milk)
#10 NYX Eyeshadow (in Pearl)
#11 NYX Eyebrow Cake Powder (in Black/Grey)
#12 MAC Powepoint Eye Pencil (in Engraved)
#13 L'Oreal Voluminous Mascara (in Carbon Black)

If anyone looked at #12, my MAC eyeliner and thought, 'What the heck happened to it?', here's why...

That's Roxy. She chews on anything and everything!

NYX Round Lipstick Swatches

As promised, I've posted all of the NYX Round Lipstick Swatches from my most current haul from Cherry Culture and Beauty Joint. For only $2.50 each I'm really pleased with the quality. It's not comparable with the quality you'd get from MAC, but they're still pretty damn good. The lipsticks are really creamy and highly pigmented. I love the fact that NYX has such a huge variety of colours to chose from.

I definitely ordered a few that really don't match my skin tone (Mars and Thalia look like dog crap on me), but for $2.50 each I really don't mind.

My standard go to lipsticks are usually in the nude family. So, my favourite from this bunch are naturally Marrakesh Pink, Circe, and Summer Love. I also dig Fig.

Monday Night Obsession: Dancing With The Stars

For the last 7 years, I have had a major obsession with Dancing with the Stars.  I love how this TV show transforms unexpected celebrities into ballroom dancers (some better than others). It's so fun watching each celeb improve week after week, and not to mention the Ahhh-mazing dance outfits. They are to DIE for! I love the sequins, tulle, neon colours, and not to mention very interesting hem lines! To purchase these outfits would cost you more than a thousand bucks (believe me, my former dance instructor bought a used sequin ballroom dress for $700 - nuts!)

This season I'm rooting for 20-year old Roshan Fegan - the Disney Channel's very own triple threat and what a threat he is! Watch out everyone, Roshan is winning this season's Mirror Ball Trophy!

Tell us: Who are you rooting for this season?

My Guilty Pleasure

I'm a little embarrassed to admit it, but the show Jerseylicious is definitely one of my biggest guilty pleasures. It's a reality show that centres around the staff in a salon based in New Jersey. And of course...there's lots of big hair, make-up and drama. It's a blast to see all of the crazy gaudy outfits that they put together. Just a word of warning, this show is highly addictive!

Will you be on Team Olivia or Team Tracy?

Work Appropriate Summer Dress

As the warm weather approaches, it's time to stash away those chunky sweaters, winter boots, and thermal socks. Lately, I've been in a summery mood and have been on the hunt for cute, yet work appropriate summer dresses. I scored this awesome number at H&M two weeks ago and I can't wait to wear it!  Pair this dress with some strappy brown heels and some cat-eye sunglasses and I'm ready to head to work. Now that, is office chic for you :)

What items are you currently on the hunt for?

Lisa's Cosmetics/ Fragrance Warehouse Sale

If you live in the Toronto area try and check out Lisa's Cosmetic/Fragrance Warehouse Sale in Markham. They're opening up their warehouse to the public for a few days in April and May. I went last year and found a ton of great deals on high-end make-up and perfume. You can find brands such as Gucci, Burberry, D&G, Smashbox and a whole bunch more. Take it from me, you'll want to go stand in line super early since it usually circles around the entire warehouse.

Happy Shopping :)

Thumbs Up for Moroccan Oil Hairspray

I'm a huge fan of the Moroccan Oil line. They're products smell absolutely amazing and work wonders on my hair. I've been using the oil for years, but I've only recently tried the Moroccan Oil hairspray and I've got to say, I love it. If you're looking for extreme hold, put this product down and walk away. I would say that it is more of a finishing spray, though it is able to hold loose curls. I must say that that the thing I love most about this product is the smell. It's just so delicious! It's also great because it leaves zero build-up/stickiness in your hair. It is definitely a little pricey, probably around $20, but I just can't resist the smell.

Easter Weekend Sale Alert

It's the Easter long weekend and all of the malls are closed. Noooo! Don't worry, just plop down in front of your computer and in the comfort of your own home, visit the UrbanOG website. If you use the coupon code EASTER20 you can get 20% off of your entire purchase. The prices are pretty affordable and the products are similar to that of Go Jane.

I picked out this Moroccan inspired bohemian dress below. I've been looking for something airy like this for the summertime.
